NEW YORK, N.Y., May 16, 2016 – UM, a division of IPG Mediabrands, announced today the reorganization of its U.S. executive management team. Effective immediately, Kasha Cacy assumes the newly-created role of U.S. CEO. Cacy will be supported by three regional Presidents.
A nine-year veteran of UM, Cacy has most recently served as U.S. President, a role she’s held since 2014. She has elevated UM’s product and has delivered a staggering number of new business wins including Coca-Cola, CVS Health, McCormick, New York Lottery, Office Depot, True Value and most recently, Slack and H&M. As CEO, she will be responsible for driving best practices and further growth across all U.S. offices and clients.
“This is an exciting time for UM in the US.” said Daryl Lee, Global CEO, UM. “We have tremendous momentum as a result of last year’s performance, and our new structure in the U.S. allows us to capitalize on that success and make sure that all of our clients benefit from our product innovation from 2015. This leadership Dream Team with their hybrid agency backgrounds will further enhance UM’s ability to integrate across all marketing disciplines on behalf of our clients.”
Supporting Cacy are three long-time UM veterans, Lynn Lewis, Karen Hunt and Scott Russell. Lewis has been elevated to President, East Coast Region with Hunt and Russell promoted to President, West Coast Region, and Central Region, respectively.
Lynn Lewis assumes the role of President, East Coast Region. Lewis is charged with building the culture and capabilities of UM’s East Coast offices, including oversight of the networks’ global headquarters in New York City. She will also be responsible for growth and building unique models of integrated planning and cross media investment for clients in the region. Lewis retains her CMO responsibilities for UM’s global branding and award initiatives.
Scott Russell assumes the role of President, Central Region. In this role, Russell will continue to oversee one of the network’s largest clients, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA). Under Russell’s leadership, FCA has continuously been recognized for innovative and best-in-class work. Scott is also tasked with expanding the Detroit office client base and ensuring operational excellence across UM’s offices in the region.
Karen Hunt assumes the roles of President, West Coast Region. Hunt successfully defended and grew the Sony business during 2015’s “Year of the Pitch”, and will continue to oversee the account in her new role. As part of her new responsibilities, Karen will bring her unique client relationship skills and entertainment marketing savvy to the UM San Francisco office. Karen will focus on bringing UM’s Los Angeles and San Francisco offices together into a shared community that promotes collaboration and regional growth.
This leadership change comes on the heels of an incredibly successful year for UM in 2015, culminating in both Global Media Agency of the Year (Adweek) and Media Agency of the Year (Ad Age) accolades.
