IPG Mediabrands UM unit has named Arielle Garcia its first Chief Privacy Officer, responsible for overseeing the launch and managing the media agency’s privacy program.

Garcia, who already was serving as head of UM’s business operations and compliance, will now be responsible for creating a vision and strategy for developing and implementing its privacy policies and practices, including creating education, training and through leadership content supporting it.
