A collaboration between UM Amsterdam, Microsoft and 22tracks.com has resulted in winning a Favorite Website Award (FWA) for the music discovery service.

The FWA, a prestigious international prize for interactive work, was awarded to 22tracks.com website following a comprehensive campaign created by UM in collaboration with Microsoft Internet Explorer (IE) 10. Targeting web enthusiasts, UM partnered with IE and 22tracks to showcase Microsoft’s innovative and unique browser experience. This resulted in an optimized 22tracks website, with a fast, smooth touch experience (for tablet) and unique visual properties.

22tracks.com features the 22 hottest weekly playlists chosen by top local DJs from cities such as Amsterdam, Paris, London and Brussels. The website provides not only the latest tracks, but is also the perfect place for discovering new musical genres. The collaboration between one of the most widely used Internet browsers in the world and the online authority on new music brings superior content and innovative technology together.

Last month, UM Amsterdam launched a digital campaign around the IE/22tracks.com collaboration. The campaign included a short documentary, display advertising, public relations outreach and targeted social media engagement. The end result was a coveted Featured Website Award for 22tracks.com.
