Helpchat, the messaging based personal assistant app has announced the appointment of Lodestar UM, part of IPG Mediabrands, India to lead its media mandate in the country. The win comes post a multi-agency pitch. The current mandate for the agency spans across all affiliate media services including Print, Radio, Digital and OOH.




Degussa, a German retailer specialising in precious metals, has appointed UM Singapore as its agency-of-record for media planning and buying. As a first time advertiser in Singapore and Asia, the company did not hold a pitch for the account.




At the Word of Mouth Marketing Association’s Summit in 2010, Steve Knox, then CEO of P&G’s in-house word of mouth marketing agency, Tremor, gave a compelling talk entitled “Why People Talk.”  Knox found that consumers talk when we give them an element of surprise that does not fit inside their existing expectations about the brand.



A simple story told well. That’s the key to good communications. We are people, after all, not robots. And it’s people who tell the stories, not technology. But technology in media does give us the ability to find people fast.
