Chris Skinner has been appointed as the new Regional Managing Director of UM MENA.  Beginning November 15, Chris will take on the responsibilities previously held by Paul Katrib who will be leaving the UM family to pursue other professional projects.

Chris joins UM MENA after a six-year tenure as Managing Director of IPG Mediabrands Hong Kong, where he successfully led the operations of UM and Initiative in this rapidly growing market. During this time, he generated an impressive track record of new business development that led the group to achieve sustained double-digit revenue growth since 2009 obtaining more than 30 international awards, including two Cannes Lions in 2012 for the much-acclaimed Coca-Cola “Chok Chok” campaign.

During his 18-year career, he has worked in some of the world’s major media markets including the UK and Hong Kong, and has developed groundbreaking marketing strategies for top global advertisers including MasterCard, Microsoft, Sony Pictures, Cathay Pacific and Exxon Mobil.

Chris’ leadership expertise and forward-thinking, innovative business mindset is sure to lead the regional operation of UM in MENA to newer heights.
