IPG global media agency UM has appointed Erin Quintana its new U.S. CEO as W. Joe DeMiero departs following just under two years in the role.
Quintana was most recently the agency’s U.S. chief client officer, a role that won’t be filled, according to a UM spokeswoman.
One of Quintana’s more recent successes was leading the pitch process that resulted in UM winning the General Mills global media account. Quintana was named to the chief client role in May as part of a reorganization of UM’s leadership.
Quintana, who has been with the agency for more than 15 years, also previously served as executive VP, global client lead, a role in which she led some of UM’s biggest accounts, including Johnson & Johnson and American Express.
